Yeah true. If your team screws up but a little, an IWAY team has the chance to capitalize, and that leads to a loss and a whole lot of rage quits. It also encourages these people who run IWAY. And as for how the thread was started, allow me to reiterrate: Somone copied and pasted a build from our forums, it wasn't CWz attempting to be braggadocious.

Everyone here has a beef about something. For some its simply the fact they need an output for thier frustrations at being beaten by a type of build. No matter what the build is, or who the people are, its the way the game is played that should matter.

I have been called a Noob for a number of reasons. I have also been called a biartch. PUG groups are simply that. Pick Up Groups. The reason you first started playing this game was for some fun right? I mean it is meant to be a FUN game... I know I find it fun.

Do you know why every day I have more fun? Because my ignore list is getting bigger and so is my friend list. Also because if someone calls me a noob or a hax, i take that as a compliment... I mean if they think I am cheating in order to be so good then it must be a compliment that Im not cheating

So I guess what Im trying to say is let people flame all they want. If it makes them happy to cry to mommy, or throw thier toys out of the cot then so be it... Enjoy YOUR game, Have FUN in YOUR game, be Honorable in YOUR game and don't worry about the ones that just can't get it up.

Now for the Ranters and Flamers.....

Go hard or Go home - you don't see people at major sports events calling each other newbies or Noobs do you? School yard antics should stay in the schools - Grow up. If you get beaten, Learn from it... Find a good guild help make it strong, help it to help you but don't sit round complaining... nothing will ever change if all you do is complain...

If you want something fixed don't just sit there, learn how to fix it. So what if you loose a million times over? isn't the whole idea just to be doing it? I think in a world where "" Winning is Everything "" people have forgotten that just BEING THERE is more than others in this world have the luxury to do.

Prav is dead. The members are out there somewhere but its dead. I have never seen CWZ either in tombs or halls and im one of the 50% that do win quite often. No disrespect and you run whatever build you want. But my team hardly EVER loses to IWAY. I have to admit though, its much easier to set up a match with IWAY then to sort through ten rank nines just to find a pro monk or whatever.

That is a full stop, and without it the enlish langauge is next to incomprehensible.
The point i am going to make is, that this game is really all about rock, paper an scissors. The Mad King made a good point of this. Now, a physcologist, might be better at playing it than others, becuase he can predict what they are going to do.
That said, at the end of the day, it comes down to a fair bit of luck. Many of the previous posts seem to be arguing the point that IWAY builds are no good. Then to them i say that nor is rock, becuase my paper pwns their rock 100% of the time.
warrior smiley, you make a good point, but its almost impossible to read due to the complete and utter lack of punctuation. I, personally beleive that all builds have a weakness, some more than others, but all will prevail against a certain team. Now stop the whole 'IWAY sucks' debate, cos it really useless.

I have to tell you. After a week of setting up a balanced build, testing it, tweaking and getting everyone comfortable with their roles (especially any of the newbies to the Guild that we try to cycle in to get them some Tombs experience) its kinda nice to sit back and run a no-thought, little preparation IWAY build. We use IWAY as our cup of cocoa at the end of the day. lol Just a soothing relaxation tool to take the edge off. Or.....if we meet a bunch of IWAY teams in Tombs we switch to our Spiker/trap build and farm IWAY. (They are always in season.) Its a fun easy build to run and it works great for getting your folks used to Tombs. And if you lose, how can you possibly feel bad? You're running IWAY! I've fought with and against IWAY teams. If you have a team with good PLAYERS then you will probably win against IWAY. If you have new or bad players....you will lose.

Interesting thread. Don't know why so many people get so worked up over builds. They are only different ways to play the game.

The reason I don't like IWAY myself is that soooo many groups run this nowdays that often it's the only way to get into Tombs matches (which I really enjoy) when I only have 30-60 minutes to play (which is usually). Yet despite all these groups running it, I have only once ever gotten past 2 maps in an IWAY group. Whereas with numerous other groups we can have long runs if we're coordinated. So IWAY is frustrating because it's, a) the way in to play, b) usually a guaranteed quick loss after you beat the first PUG or two.

This is funny. Because I've only seen you win halls 1-2 times (without holding) and seen Your Math Teacher (MATH) Win halls Every day holding 3+ times. With Iway.

Iway is realy easy to counter in a gvg. With a mesmer or a necro . Spirit shakles and prince of failure will kill you. And an decent air spike and youre dead. And even if you use resurect signet a ranger can interupt the signet easily. Iway get's owned by a GOOD team.

Ok well, i have been looking into getting into pvp, altho our guild doesn't have a lot of pvp player's, orplayers that play it constantly enuff, i have a total of 500+ faction...lol mostly from the academy and a few CA's, one of our guys is always saying iway iway iway, and i always tell him no it's "myway, myway, myway" cause at that point myway was to put a boot up his arse lol, cause it's all he talked about when it came to pvp, while i was trying to get my guys to do a more balanced team because a lot of us don't have experaince with pvp, and even some of them are so horrible when it comes to pve even, and the fact that many of our people do not have a war or even a ranger, or anywhere near the skills needed to do it.

So anyway, i been looking into this iway build if for anything, to learn the maps, and see what the big deal is.

I was hoping there was another guild or a few people i might join to play some pvp and gain some experaince from, not looking to farm faction, i'm looking to learn about pvp, i consider myself a good player, have beaten the game itself several times and i have had many characters.

Currently i have a W/Mo ( he has /R with a hearty spider)
R/Mo (with a large hearty bear.still has one evolv. to go )
Mo/W ( my nice farmer/healer )
N/Me ( my first char, and one of my fav.)

I know i should just start trying to join any group that will take me, but i think i would gain more out of a team or people that have a good understanding of the build, or at least better than just any old pug wanting to run the build, i have TS, can get ventrillo if need be.

If anyone is intrested in me ( please do not try to recruit me ) let me know.

well i agrea that indeed alot of euro pug noobs hate iway coes they cant beat it.... but for me the reason to hate iway is that they are like 80% of the teams run in tombs and as you say yourself 99% of them sucks and its boring to play against them... hell we even beat an iway with 4 henchies in under 1min.... i have never seen WN or CWz run iway in Tombs, but i have seen MATH use it and i must admit i admire them for what they are able to do with the build... personaly i dont like running it coes its FoTM and i almost only play in guild groups and we in EaSy like running wierd/Difrent builds than what most others run.

to make it short the main reason i can see to hate iway is simply that there is to many of them... and those that just make it coes its fast an "easy" to play, but those groups are Pathetic...

of the record:
its damn anoying running in to MATH without knowing them after having slain about 10 IWAY already and then discover some 1 who actually know how to play it.. cought us by surprise

heh my guild group went against Warrior Nation in tombs.. was 4 man map.. each group goes 1v1.. than 1v1 again...with the obelisks... we ran our balanced tombs build.. and guess what they ran.. eoe. ^^.. lets just say we won it.. cause they all dped out to 60 dp.
